SmartSpeaker™ is an add-on for the
AlphaSmart® NEO, 3000 and 2000 giving users a
simple low-cost way of getting speech output.
Based on the industry standard DECtalk, SmartSpeaker is
versatile yet powerful. One can
directly type in messages to be spoken, or one can select a phrase from
commonly used phrases that one has stored on the
AlphaSmart®. This is the lowest cost DECtalk
based speech synthesizer solution on the
market today.
Note:
SmartSpeaker is NOT a screen reader, it does not support
speaking as you are typing.
